The document and the CloudManual for best practices (in the enterprise) under French and European rulings NEW WORKGROUP DEDICATED TO CLOUD IT AND THE DIGITAL DOCUMENT Transformational technologies and the implications for procedures policies and electronic archival in the digital economy. In support of its vocation to define best practices, to formulate support and promote the adoption of standards and frameworks, offer strategic guidance and training, monitor market trends and needs, APROGED is setting up a workgroup dedicated to CLOUD COMPUTING. The transformational technology and architecture of CLOUD services coupled with the adoption of CLOUD-aware devices from Ipad to Smartphone, poses challenges for CIOs, CSOs and vendors alike. Ubiquitous IT and all-round information access via public, private or hybrid clouds may meet user demands and make economic sense, it may even represent a paradigm shift in digital information economy. However it also raises important issues that need to be addressed :
· legal responsibilities and validity,
· governance risk and compliance including NFZ42-013,
· security and protection,
· ownership rights and identity of digital data and documents,
· privacy and collaboration. The specific aim of this new workgroup will be to address the issues of the “DOCUMENT and the CLOUD”.
Its objectives will be to :
· recommend practices,
· supply clarifications,
· map the state-of-the-art,
· identify the impact on Electronic Archival systems and document management. Agenda of the working group - Brief overview of the association and participant presentation
